Beecher Lewis W. Beecher, aged 89 years, died at his home, 41 South Eighth Avenue, Coatesville, yesterday. He was born and raised in Coatesville, son of the late William and Lydia Kinnard Beecher. He had been ill for about two months, but had been about his business, that of a butcher, in Central Market House until a week ago. He was in the meat business in Coatesville fifty years, his first place of business being at Third Avenue and Lincoln Highway. As a young man he worked at farming in that vicinity. Mr. Beecher was a highly respected citizen. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and the Iron Rose Bible Class. He was the last of his family. Surviving are his wife, Lydia K. Beecher, and two daughters; Misses Mary E. and Anna K. Beecher, and several nieces and nephews. Ibid: BEECHER- In Coatesville, Pa., on Thursday. June 3rd, 1943, Lewis William Beecher, aged 80 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral without further notice at the Gensemer Funeral Home, 1030 East Lincoln Highway. Coatesville, Pa., on Monday, June 7th, 1943, at 2 o’clock p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening.
