Her maiden name was Latshaw. She leaves a sorrowing husband, two sons and a daughter to mourn their loss. She was buried at East Vincent Mennonite Meeting-house. Services by Jacob Funk and Jacob Huntsberger. Montgomery Ledger, 9/5/1882 edition: BUCKWALTER - In Madison on the 25th, Catharine Buckwalter, wife of William, aged 56 years, 8 months and 10 days. Montgomery Ledger, 8/29/1882 edition Mrs. Catharine Buckwalter, wife of William Buckwalter, of Madison, Chester county, (residing on the D W Jones farm) died on Friday evening in her 57th year. She had been ill for several days, her sickness commencing with malarial fever, which became complicated with other ailments. Mrs. Buckwalter, who was a lady beloved by a large circle of relatives and friends, was a sister of Daniel Latshaw of Royersford, and John Latshaw of East Pikeland, Chester county. The funeral will take place on Tuesday next, leave the house at 10 o'clock, interment at East Vincent Mennonite Church. NOTE: She was a daughter of Jacob Beary LATSHAW and Maria HEISTAND.
