Burton, wife of the late Walter Burton, passed away on Saturday morning, at 5:35 am in the Chester County Hospital, following an illness of some time. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jennie Luff, born in Philadelphia, an a resident of West Chester since an infant, last residing at 414 East Bernard Street. Mrs. Burton was a member of the Bethel AME Church, and was graduated from the Gay Street School and West Chester High School. Those surviving her passing are one sister, Mrs. Bennenta Washington, of New York City, three nieces, three nephews and other relatives and friends. Ibid~ Burton- In Chester County Hospital, on Saturday December 3, 1949, Mrs. Ada L., wife of the late Walter Burton. Relatives and fiends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the Robert M. Day funeral Home, 115 W. Chestnut St., West Chester, Pa., on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 2 o’clock. Interment at Chestnut Grove annex. Friends may call Tuesday evening, 7-9 at the funeral home.
