Mrs. Artemus Carmichael

Elizabeth Bell Carmichael, wife of Dr. Artemus Carmichael, died at her home at 
Fourth avenue and Lincoln Highway in Coatesville yesterday afternoon about 4 
O’clock after an illness of four months.  She was a daughter of the late 
Markley and Annie Rettew Davis.  Mrs. Carmichael was a member of the 
Presbyterian Church of Coatesville and a number of organizations of the 
church.  She belonged to the New Century Club of Coatesville.  

Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth D., wife of 
Lieutenant Willard K. Fohl, stationed in the South Pacific, and the following 
brothers and sisters:   Lewis R. Davis, of Coatesville R.D.; W. Markley Davis, 
of Ovanda, Mont; Mrs. H. Blanche Moore, of Mortonville; Annie R. Davis, of 
Honey Brook; and Mrs. S. Flora Price of Avon, Mont.  C. Rupert Davis, a 
brother, is deceased.
