Clayton At the home of his son, T. Elwood Clayton, West Grove, Josiah J. Clayton died yesterday afternoon in the 80th year of his age. He was born near Cochranville and had lived in the Southern end of the county all his life. In early life he learned he milling trade which he followed for fifteen years, and later became a butter maker at McDonald’s Creamery, in Londonderry Township, where he remained for twenty-five years. In recent years he had been living retired in West Grove. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Annie M. Thomas, and two sons, T. Elwood and Clifford D. Clayton, both of West Grove. There are three grandchildren. Mr. Clayton was a member of the West Grove Presbyterian Church and was highly respected in the community.
