Daily Local News, September 9, 1925 Mrs. William J. Corcoran At her home, corner of Market and Darlington streets, at noon yesterday, Hannah A., widow of William J. Corcoran, died, aged 64 years. She had been in her usual good health, and was suddenly stricken with heart trouble, her death coming instantly. She was a daughter of John and Bridget Barrett, and was born in West Bradford Township, but spent practically all of her life in this place. She married William J. Corcoran, a well known business man of this borough, whose death occurred eight years ago. A member of St. Agnes’ Church and of the Sodality and Altar Society, she took much interest in the work of that church. She was a woman of kind heart, enjoying the esteem of many friends, who were shocked to learn of her sudden death. She is survived by one daughter, Esther, at home. There are two brothers, James and John Barrett, both of Ardmore. Mrs. Martin C. Welsh, of North Darlington Street, is a sister. Daily Local News, September 10, 1925 The funeral of Mrs. Hannah A., widow of William J. Corcoran, took place this morning from her late residence on West Market Street, and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Many floral tributes were presented by friends, who had held her in high esteem during her life. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Agnes’ Church by Rev. Henry C. Schuyler, rector of the Church, assisted by visiting priests. Last evening a large number of friends called at the house to pay tribute to her memory. The pall-bearers were William McLaughlin, Daniel Healy, James Barrett and Herbert Finegan. Interment was at St. Agnes’ Cemetery, Oaklands.
