Universal sorrow prevails over the community over the loss of one so greatly loved. Shortly after Mrs. Corey came to Thorndale, she became connected with The Thorndale M.E. Church and was a faithful and consistent member. She was interested in al church work, a prominent member of the Aid Society, which she frequently entertained at her home. Mrs. Corey had been ill for several months with cancer of the stomach. She was with cancer of the stomach. She was the mother of W.E Corey, the steel magnate.
