Coatesville Record, February 9, 1927
Thomas Coursey, a former resident of this city, died early today at his home 
in Wayne.  He was in his ninety-fifth year.  The funeral will be held on 
Saturday afternoon at one o’clock from St. John’s A.M.E. Church at Wayne.  
Interment will be made in Chestnut Grove Annex, West Chester.

Thomas Coursey, known to every man, woman and child, in Rock Run, and to very 
many of the older people in this city, died yesterday at his home, in Wayne.  
He was 95 years old, and until a year ago, could do a good day’s work with any 
man. He was an employe (sic) of the Greenwood woolen mills for over half 
century, when that textile plant was one of the leading industries of this 
section.

COURSEY- in Wayne, Pa., on Feb. 9., Thomas Coursey, in the 95th year of his 
age. Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend 
the funeral on Saturday, Feb. 12, in St. John’s A.M.E. Church, Wayne, Pa.  
Services at 1 o’clock.  Interment at Chestnut Grove Annex, West Chester.
