Clifton O. Cross, Chester Springs R D 1, husband of Clara (Mosteller) Cross, 
died yesterday at 3 p.m. in Chester County Hospital, West Chester, he was 71.

He had been in ill health for the past seven years, but had not entered the 
hospital until the past Monday.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry O. and Adelaide 
(Bishop) Cross. He had resided in the vicinity of Eagle for the past 30 years.

An employee of the Bell Telephone Company, he had worked at the company's 
laboratories in Phoenixville for 30 years.

He had retired from his work in 1944.

Services will be held from a funeral home at 43 West Lancaster Avenue, 
Downingtown, Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev B. C. Dahms, pastor of Nantmeal Methodist 
Church, will officiate.

Interment will be made in St. Matthew's Reformed Cemetery, West Vincent 
Township.
