He survived by his widow and several children among them Anne E who married John R Hollinger and Lillian Secretary of the Chester county Community Centre. Entriken – In Lakeland, Florida, on April 11 1922 George husband of Anna H Entriken and son of the late John and Ann Entriken in the 77th year of his age. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday April 14th at 3 p m at the home of his daughter Mrs. John R Hollinger, Rosedale Avenue, West Chester. Interment at Oaklands Cemetery. Daily Local West Chester Pennsylvania GEORGE ENTRIKEN George Entriken whose death due to pneumonia occurred in Lakeland, Florida where he was spending the winter was born in Thornbury, Chester County, January 8th 1846. He was one of seven children of John and Anne Ingram Fitzsimmons Entriken. One brother John Carpenter Entriken of Philadelphia survives him. On December 24 1873 he married Sallie H daughter of Joaquim and Susanna Bishop of Willistown. They resided in New Dungeness on Puget Sound in Washington Territory, until her death in 1885. She left three children who are still living, Misses Esther Rogers and Nellie Bishop Entriken of New York City, and J Rogers of Grant's Pass Oregon. Mr Entriken returned to Chester County. In Dec 1890 he married Anna daughter of James and Mary Hines. Their children are Ann wife of John r Hollinger; Marion, Lillian, George, Roberta and Norman Entriken who reside in Westtown. There are four grandchildren. Mr Entriken was a descendant of the William Carpenter branch of the Carpenter family, who lived at "The Homme" in Hereford, England. Many of the members of this family came to Pennsylvania and settled in Chester County and Mr Entriken like the majority of them was a farmer all his life he was ever a keen student of world affairs a genial and interesting companion. Rev Charles A Walker will have charge of the funeral services assisted by Rev Robert T Tumbelston of Germantown. The pallbearers are six nephews of the deceased: Robert Everett of Philadelphia; William shields of Springfield; Dr James C Entriken, Ralph Entriken and Robert E Entriken of Philadelphia and J B Matlack of West Chester. Daily Local West Chester Pennsylvania April 15 1922 FUNERALS At the home of Mr and Mrs. John r Hollinger, Rosedale Avenue, yesterday afternoon funeral services were held over the body of her father, George Entriken, who died in Florida. Services were conducted by Rev Chas A Walker, D D pastor of the Olivet Baptist Church and Rev R T Tumbleston of Germantown also spoke. Interment was made in Oaklands Cemetery, the pallbearers being Robert Entriken, Philadelphia; William S Everett, Springfield, Delaware County' Rev R T Tumbleston, Germantown; J b Matlack, West Chester; Ralph Entriken, Philadelphia' Dr J C Entriken, Philadelphia. Among friends present was Thomas Cheyney of East Gay Street, who had begun school at Shady Grove on the same day Mr Entriken did in 1854. The school was located on the Street Road and is now the home of "Squire T Van c Phillips. The Entriken family at that time lived on what was afterward the Sproat property and now is owned and occupied by Adolph Umbehend and family.
