Fanning At his home on West Barnard Street yesterday, Thomas S. Family died of tuberculosis at the age of 22 years. He was a son of Edmond Fanning, who formerly was section foreman on the Wilmington & Northern Railroad, and lived at Wawaset. The mother died seven months ago. Thomas was a printer in the employ of Horace F. Temple, and a member of the Board of Engineers of the Fame Fire Company. He is survived by six brothers and one sister. Mrs. William Miller, Jr., whose husband is an engineer on the Central Division. The family hold membership in St. Agnes’ Catholic Church. Ibid: FANNING- In West Chester, on November 6, 1911, Thomas S. Fanning, in the 22nd year of his age. Relatives and friends of the family, also the Fame Fire Company members, are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from his father’s residence, 229 West Barnard Street, on Thursday morning, November 9. Meet at the house at 9 o’clock. High mass at St. Agnes’ Church at 10 o’clock. Interment at St. Agnes’ Cemetery. Daily Local News, November 9, 1911 This morning the funeral of the late Thomas S. Fanning, of West Chester, took place from his father’s residence 229 West Barnard Street, and was largely attended. Services were held at the St. Agnes Church, Rev. Father Harron saying mass. Interment was made at St. Agnes’ Cemetery. Pall bearers were Fred Martin, John Mummaw, Frank Mummaw, Archie Battin, Frank Foreman and Michael F. Cook. There were several beautiful floral tributes, one being from the Fame Fire Company of which the deceased was a member. Ibid Remembered the Dead Last evening about twenty employees of the Horace F. Temple, this borough, went in a body to the late home of Thomas S. Fanning, West Barnard Street, to pay their respect to their deceased fellow workman.
