Henson, one of the best known and respected colored residents of this neighborhood, passed away in death at his home on Black Horse Hill, on Wednesday night at the age of 58 years from brain troubles with which he was attacked only a few days ago. Deceased for years had been engaged in the business of hauling in our town, and was regarded as an honorable, upright citizen by all who knew him. He owned a small property and leaves a wife and three children, Lewis, Elmer and Florence, besides many other relatives in this vicinity. He was one of the leading members of the Colored Grand Army Post, of the Masonic Lodge, and a strict member of the Union A.M.E. Church, from which his funeral will take place on Sunday at 11 o’clock.
