High, aged 77 years and 6 months, widow of Davis High, died on Monday at the home of her son, Hugh J. High near Cedarville, North Coventry. She had been a sufferer from pulmonary affection some time. Her children are Joseph L., of Philadelphia; Jacob, of Pughtown; Francis and Samuel, of Pottstown; Davis, of St. Mary’s, Chester County; Richard, of St. Louis; and Hugh J. High, of North Coventry. One son, John, is deceased. Daily Local News, January 23, 1894 A correspondent sends the following: Mrs. Barbara High, wife of David High, deceased, died at the residence of her son Hugh High, Cedarville, Monday, January 15th, and was buried Thursday in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deceased was the mother of eight boys, all of whom are living except one, Rev. John High. The names of the children who were present are as follows: Joseph High, wife and family, Philadelphia; Jacob High, wife and family, Pughtown; Franc (sic) High, wife and family, Pottstown; David High, wife and family, Pine Swamp; Samuel High, wife and family, Pottstown; Hugh High, wife and family, Cedarville. All of the children were present except Richard High and family, St. Louis. Mrs. High died at the age of 77 and 6 days, and was the grandmother of thirty-nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, nearly all being present at the funeral.
