The funeral services, which were held in the church, were conducted by Rev. A.L. Shalkop, pastor of the Methodist Church of Nantmeal Village. The Pall-bearers were George Dunlap, Levi Keim, Franklin Knauer, George Fox, Lewis Pirches and Lewis Pike. Among the floral tributes was a sheaf of wheat from his brother and a bunch of carnations from his daughter. The funeral was attended by a large number of former friends.
