Pottstown, Mar 16 (Special) 
After a lingering illness with a complication of ailments incident to old age, 
Mary Ann (Swinehart), widow of John S Hoffecker, died yesterday at the home of 
her son-in-law and daughter, Warren M Shaner, North Coventry township, Chester 
county.  She was age 85 years, 6 months and 23 days.  Deceased was born in South 
Coventry township, and was a resident of Northern Chester county all her life.  
Her husband died 20 years ago.  She is survived by four children: Laura, wife of 
Frank Tyson, East Coventry; Ada, wife of Edmund Kerper, of town; George W., 
North Coventry, and Cora R., wife of Warren M Shaner, North Coventry.  She was 
the last of her family.  For many years she was a member of the Lutheran Church 
of the Transfiguration, this borough.
Funeral Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Shaner home.  Interment will be 
made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
