Holston Clyde J. Holston, 49, a former resident of West Chester, died Tuesday at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, after a prolonged illness. A house painter and long time resident of the county seat, Mr. Holston was born in West Chester a son of the late Benjamin and Isabelle Carey Holston. He was a veteran of World War II and was a winner of the Purple Heart after being wounded in action in France. Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Poper of Narvon RD; a son William F. and two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jane Tovey and Clare Holston of the Narvon address; two other sons, Larry G., serving with the U.S. Army at Ft. Bragg, N.C.; and Clyde M. of Chicago; and two other daughters, Mrs. Charles Henderson of West Chester and Jeanette P. Holston of Barre, N.H.; also four brothers, Clarence L, Lawrence L, and George F, all of West Chester, and Albert of Walton Dr., Downingtown, and a sister, Gertrude, wife of J. Frank Lawrence of Glenmoore. Ibid HOLSTON- Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, on Tuesday, May 2, 1967, Clyde J., Husband of Helen Poper Holston, Narvon, Pa in his 49th year. Funeral services will be private from the Lawrence J. Reilly funeral Home, 410 N. church St., West Chester, Pa. Friday afternoon, May 5, 1967. Interment Green Mount Cemetery.
