All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania January 10 1908 FREDERIC T INGRAM Frederic T Ingram, a well known resident of West Chestnut Street, this place aged 72 years, died this morning at 3:10 o'clock at his home, after an illness with heart trouble of on week. He had been in somewhat feeble health for a long time as the result of a stroke of paralysis, but had not been serious recently. He leaves a widow and three sons, Frank, Norris and Albert, all of the latter being employed in this place. Mr. Ingram was formerly a well-known businessman here, being engaged in contracting as a carpenter and he had many fine pieces of work to his credit. He learned the trade of a carpenter with Bentley Worth, for whom he worked for a long time, afterwards forming a partnership in the firm of Darlington and Ingram, with which he was connected until ill health compelled him to retire. Since then he has been living a quiet life at his home here, taking little part in affairs of the town. He was a member of McCall Post G A R, having served a year in the Civil War, and the members of that body will visit his late home on Sunday to pay their last respects. Mr. Ingram was a member of the West Chester Beneficial Association and his family is entitled to the regular benefit of the same. The pallbearers are to be members of McCall Post No 21 G A R, at the request of Mr. Ingram. Daily Local West, Chester Pennsylvania January 10, 1908 Ingram – In West Chester, on January 10th, 1908, Frederic T. Ingram, in the 72nd year of his age. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from his late residence, 132 West Chestnut Street, on Monday, January 13th. Meet at the house at 3 o'clock. Interment private at Green Mount Cemetery. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania January 13 1908 The funeral of the late Frederick T. Ingram took place this afternoon from his late residence, West Chestnut Street, and was largely attended by relatives and friends, services being conducted at the house. The interment took place at Green Mount Cemetery. The pall bearers were all members of McCall Post, No 31, G A R of which he was a member for many years as follows: William S Walton and Joseph B Darlington by request, being old associates in business with the deceased, and Samuel J Thompson, Thomas T Townsend, Peter Ford and George B Foreman, members of the same regiment of the deceased during the war. The usual rites of the Post were omitted at the grave by request of the members of the family. Daily Local West Chester< Pennsylvania January 14, 1908 Yesterday afternoon the funeral of the late Frederic T Ingram took place from his former home on West Chestnut Street, and was quite largely by relatives, friends and comrades in arms of the deceased. The services were conducted by Rev C R Williamson of the Westminster Church, who spoke very impressively and was listened to with attention. The interment took place at Green Mount Cemetery, the pallbearers all being members of Mcall Post, to which the deceased belonged for many years.
