Mrs. Jackson, born in Warren County, Virginia, April 12th, 1858, was the daughter of the late Geo. and Elizabeth Ann Robinson. Her early childhood years were filled with the experiences of the Civil War, her father being with the Confederate Army, with the staff of General Robert E. Lee. Mr. Robinson, later a Justice of the Peace in Warren County, counted among his many friends Colonel Wm. F. Cody (Buffalo Bill) Mr. and Mrs. Jackson came to West Chester shortly after their marriage, making this their home since 1882. Five children, Bertha (Mrs. Clarence J. Printz), George William, Thomas A., Robert Dempsey and Marcus H., preceded her Mrs. Jackson in death. The only surviving child is Hazel R., wife of Wm. J. Stalker, Wawaset Road, with whom she made her home since the death of her husband, in 1925. She is also survived by more than thirty grand children, a number of great, grand children and several great-great grand children. Mrs. Jackson, in earlier years a communicant of The Church of the Holy Trinity, in her shut-in years was given great spiritual inspiration through the visitations of friends in Jehovah’s Witnesses. A woman of strong character, she was respected and admired by all who knew her and will be missed by many. She was a member for more 45 years of West Chester Council No. 45, Sons and Daughters of Liberty. Jackson –On Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1948, Georganna R., widow of William A. Jackson, in her 91st year. Relatives and friends of the family, also Sons and Daughters of Liberty, are invited to attend the funeral at the Harold A. Famous Funeral Home, 101 S. Church St., West Chester, Pa., on Friday, August 13, at 2 p.m., D.S.T. interment in Green Mount Cemetery. Friends may call this (Thursday) evening.
