Jackson, age 42, passed away at Chester County Hospital due to complications of heart ailments. He leaves four children, Lawrence, Joseph Dorothy and Grace, his wife, Mary Hampton Beecher Jackson, having preceded him in death in 1921. Mr. Jackson was a long-time resident of West Chestnut St. in the borough of West Chester and made his living as a painter with several firms, lately in the employment of Mr. William Badum. He was a veteran of the World War and served for over a year in France with the 103rd Ammunition Train. He was a member of Bernard F. Schlegel Post, American Legion, where he was affectionately known by the nickname "Bucky". Many fellow veterans, friends and townspeople attended his funeral at St. Agnes Church and followed the funeral courtege to interment at St. Agnes Cemetery, Oaklands. Additional Comments: Little is known of John T. Jackson's parents. They are listed on the Death Certificate as Thomas and Mary Jackson. John T. Jackson's wife, Mary Hampton Beecher, had surviving children from her marriage to Herbert Beecher. Their names were Helen, who became Mrs. Franklin Trumbower of Coatesville, and Harold, who lived on East Chestnut St. in West Chester.
