Jackson, of West Chester, passed away yesterday afternoon, following a lingering illness. He was a life-long resident of this borough, a tinsmith by trade, and had been for many years in the employ of James Bros. In later years he conducted a gasoline station on the Downingtown road, near the borough. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Welsh Jackson; his mother, Mrs. William Jackson, West Bradford, and the following children: Thomas, William, Helen, wife of Winfield West, Boyertown; Robert, Paul, Walter and Edison. One son, Charles, is deceased. There are ten grandchildren. A sister, Hazel, wife of William J. Stalker, and two brothers, Dempsey and Marcus, also survive. Mr. Jackson was a man of kind disposition, and thoroughly devoted to his family. He was a member of St. Agnes’ Church. Ibid: JACKSON- Thomas A., in the 57th year of his age. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Ford & Burneson Funeral Home, 105 South High Street, on Monday, June 22, 1942 at 9 a.m. High Mass at St. Agnes’ Church at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery.
