B. Smith & Son on Thursday, the 4th inst. Services at 2 o’clock. Interment private at Green mount Cemetery. Daily Local News 10. 5. 1917 The funeral of the late George Jenkins, who died a few days ago in Wilmington, Del., although a native of this place took place yesterday afternoon from the chapel of J. B. Smith & Son, East Gay St, this place, where there was quite an assemblage of friends and relatives. The services were conducted at the chapel by Rev. Edward C Kunkle, of the First Baptist Church, this place, while at the grave, in Green mount Cemetery the services of the Grand Army of the Republic of which the deceased was formerly a member, were carried out by members of McCall Post, No 31 G A R of this place. Joseph R Smith sited as Commander and Chaplain S. T. Smith was assisted by George T Jackson, Abiah C Miller and Peter Ford. The pall bearers were members of the Post and included George Foreman, John Strawanger, Samuel J Thompson, Peter Ford, Geo C Jackson, S.T.
