          Died of Hemorrhages.--Last night SYLVESTER JOHNSON, a
      colored man who has been attending the masons and bricklayers
      about West Chester for a long time, died from hemorrhages of the
      lungs after an illness of short duration.

     JOHNSON.--In West Chester, on Thursday, May 15, SYLVESTER JOHNSON,
 aged 30 years.
     Funeral from the residence of his aunt, Mrs. LIZZIE JONES, East Gay street,
 on Sunday, to leave the house at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment at Westtown Cemetery.
