Daily Local News, April 9, 1878
Died- Daniel Landis, an old resident of North Coventry, who has been ill for 
several weeks past, departed this life on Sunday, April 7, I the 75th year of 
his age.  Deceased was the father of Mr. D.L. Landis, of the firm of Landis & 
Snell, Pottstown. He was a quiet, unobtrusive citizen, who possessed the esteem 
of a large circle of friends and relatives.  His funeral will take place on 
Thursday, April 11th from the residence of his son in law, E. B. John, in North 
Coventry.

Notice to Teachers.- The county superintendent will hold an examination for 
teachers, at Warwick School House, Warwick Township, on Tuesday, the 27th of 
July at 10 o’clock.  Teachers from adjoining townships desiring to be examined 
are requested to attend- Daniel Landis, Secretary of the Board of Directors.

Large Funeral- The funeral of D.W. Landis, of the firm of Landis & Snell, 
Pottstown, took place on Saturday at Zion’s Cemetery, and was largely attended.
