Lightcap Walter M. Lightcap, 70, of 316 North Evans Street, Pottstown, grandfather of 42 grandchildren died in the Pottstown Hospital Monday morning following an illness of more than three years. He had been a patient of the hospital for three days. Mr. Lightcap was born in Chester County, the son of David M. B. Lightcap, Royersford, and the late Emma L. (Kennedy) Lightcap. He lived in Pottstown for the past 15 years. He was employed as a moulder at the Pottstown Machine Company for the past 48 years. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. He held memberships in the German Club, Pottstown and four volunteer fire companies, the Goodwill, North End and Philadelphia, all in Pottstown and the Friendship, Royersford. Surviving are seven sons, Maurice L., Pottstown; Walter M. Jr., at home, Vernest K., George W., and Stanley R., all of Pottstown; Ralph D., Royersford, R.D. 1, and Robert F., Pottstown; three daughters, Cora, wife of Clarence Fox, Elverson; Alvina, wife of Charles Hampton Sr, Pottstown,; Virginia, wife of Ralph Reitmeyer, Sr., Pottstown; a brother George W., of Royersford, and a sister, Alma, wife of Francis Buckingham, Royersford. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Houck Funeral Home, Pottstown. Interment followed in Edgewood Cemetery.
