Lindley. Word has been received by friends here of the passing early yesterday morning of Emma Rambler, wife of the late William H. Lindley, at her home in Inglewood, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lindley moved to Los Angeles from here more than 30 years ago, where they resided until Mr. Lindley’s death. Afterward Mrs. Lindley went to Inglewood, making her home with her sister, Mrs. Herbert C. Baldwin, and their brother Edward Rambler, also former West Chester residents. Mrs. Lindley, while here, was an active member of the Methodist Church and was for years president of the Willing Workers’ Society. In Inglewood she continued her church service and became an earnest and valued addition to her new church home. She was a generous, kindly and most charitable woman, loved by a large circle of friends, both in this, her native State, and in California, her adopted one. While in West Chester she was a member of the Board of Management of the Wentworth home, serving during the presidency of its originator, Mrs. Richard G. Park. Mrs. Lindley’s body will rest beside that of her brother in beautiful Inglewood Memorial Park, not far from the home she and her sister have shared for years. The sisters last visited here ten years ago this winter.
