The family formerly resided in West Vincent, and the body of Mrs. Lumis will be interred there, at St. Matthew's Cemetery, on Saturday. Several grown children survive the mother. Smith Lumis, a son, resides in West Vincent; Morris is at Ocean City, and Lewis is in Philadelphia. Mrs. John W. Christy is a married daughter. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania February 13, 1900 The remains of Mrs. Sarah Lumis, wife of Thomas Lumis, were brought from Philadelphia on Monday morning and buried at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She was 82 years of age, and was formerly a resident of West Vincent for many years, having spent her girlhood days in this locality. She was a daughter of the late George Hipple, a carpenter and builder in his day, and a man who thought little of walking from this place to Marietta from Sunday to Sunday, a distance of 56 miles
