Interment at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, the body having been brought up from Philadelphia Tuesday evening. He had lived in Birchrunville much of his life, prior to 1880, when he moved to Philadelphia, where he has resided ever since. He had been afflicted with paralysis for several years. His age was 82 years. He was the father of Lewis Lumis, who lost his eyesight in the year 1878, by the premature discharge of a gun in the hands of Thomas Dewees, while the two were gunning for rabbits.
