R. R. LUMIS At Byers, on Saturday afternoon, H. Belle, widow of Robert Ralston Lumis, died after an illness of several days with pneumonia. She was a daughter of Henry and Margaret Mosteller, and was born in West Vincent Township, in 1859, and had spent her entire life in that section. Her husband, a well-known businessman and brother of George S. and J. Howard Lumis, of West Chester, died in March of last year. She is survived by a son, Oscar M. Lumis, who keeps the general store at Byers, and a daughter E. Edna, at home. Two sisters, Miss M. Emma Mosteller, of Byers, and Mrs. Ellen Holman, of Phoenxiville, survive also. There is one grandson. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Lumis – In Byers, Pa., on May 7, H. Belle, widow of Robert Ralston Lumis, aged 68 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at her late residence, Byers, on Wednesday afternoon, May 11, at 2 o'clock standard time. Interment at St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 o'clock, standard time. Please omit flowers. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania May 12, 1927 The funeral of H. Belle, widow of Robert Ralston Lumis, took place yesterday afternoon from her late home at Byers, and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Services were in charge of Rev. Paul Whitman, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, assisted by Rev. I. F. Walton, pastor of Windsor Baptist Church, A quartette sang "Lead Kindly Light" and "Abide With Me." Interment was at St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, the pallbearers being George Anderson, Jos. Phipps, Harry Davis, William Crosby, Clarence Rice and John Kenney.
