He was 71 years of age, and was a son of the late James and Elizabeth Fetters Lumis. He was one of the seven children, two of whom, John Lumis, and Mrs. Lewis C Moses, preceded him in death. The remaining brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Clinton K. Mosteller, of West Chester; George S. Lumis, of West Chester; Mrs. Margaret Moore, of Spring City, and J. Howard Lumis, one of West Chesters widely known business men. The deceased was a member of the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and Mount Pickering Lodge, No. 446, F. & A. M. He had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances and enjoyed the respect and esteem of all. Aside from his brothers and sisters, Mr. Lumis, is also survived by his widow, H. Belle Lumis and two children, Oscar M. Lumis of Eagle, and E. Edna Lumis who lived at home. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania March 13, 1926 Lumis – In Byers, Pa., on March 10th Robert Ralston, husband of H. Belle Lumis, aged 71 years. Relatives and friends and Mt. Pickering Lodge No. 446 F & A M are invited to attend the funeral services at his late residence, Byers, on Monday afternoon, March 15, at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment at St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday evening. Daily Local West Chester Pennsylvania March 16, 1926 The funeral of Robert Ralston Lumis took place yesterday afternoon from his late home at Byers, in Upper Uwchland, and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Services were conducted by Rev. I. F. Walton, pastor of Windsor Baptist Church. The choir of St. Matthew's Church sang two numbers. Interment was at St. Matthew's Cemetery, the bearers being John Kenney, Harry Davis, George Anderson, Benjamin Moore, Joseph Phipps and Clarence Rice.
