Mathewson- In Caln Township, on Sunday, August 24th, 1902, Ellie D., wife of 
Joseph E. Mathewson, in the 36th year of her age.
Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral without further notice from her late residence on Wednesday, August 
27th.  Meet at the house at 1 o’clock p.m.  Proceed to Northwood Cemetery.

Mathewson- IN fond and loving remembrance of my dear sister, Ellie D. 
Mathewson, who departed this life August 24, 1902.

Peaceful by thy silent slumber, Peaceful by they grave so low; You no more 
will join our number, You no more our sorrows know.  Yet again we hope to meet 
thee,  When the day of life is fled, And in heaven with joy to greet thee, 
where no farewell tear is shed.  A star might drop from heaven, A forest lose 
a tree, Great waves sink in the ocean, and none be missed like thee.  HER
