Cause of Death: heart attack
Age: 69
Spouse: late Ethel (Foreman) Mathewson
Residence: 705 Pikeland Ave.
Parents: the late Joseph E. and Mary (McGinley) Mathewson, Sr.
Occupation: Druggist and owner of the Mathewson Drug Store, 75 N. Main St., 
            Spring City.  He purchased the business from the former Taylor Drug 
            Store.  Former Greenleaf Pharmacy, Downingtown.
Education: Downingtown High School, class of 1925, and graduated in 1929 from 
           Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
Religion: Downingtown United Methodist Church
Memberships: Lions Club, National Association of Retail Druggists, Pennsylvania 
             Pharmaceutical Association, a life member of Liberty Fire Co., 
             Spring City; vice president of the Chester County Association for 
             the Blind and a member of the Spring City Businessman’s Association
Funeral: Shalkop Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St, Spring City.
Interment: Northwood Cemetery,  Downingtown.
