Montgomery Ledger, Pottstown, Pa. January 6, 1891

Emily, wife of U.S. Grant Mauger, of St. Mary’s, Chester county, died Tuesday 
morning, in her 18th year.  She was taken ill last Friday, with brain fever, 
becamed unconscious and continued so until death intervened.  Mrs. Mauger was 
married three months ago; she was a daughter of Frank Miller, of near Loag’s 
Corner, and grand-daughter of Phillip Miller, of Warwick, a farmer and 
huckster, well known in Pottstown.  She was a very estimable young woman.  Her 
bereaved husband is a brother of Mrs. George W. Rahn, Mrs. William G. Rahn and 
W. Sherman Mauger, of Pottstown.  His father, Daniel B. Mauger, long an 
undertaker at St. Mary’s, died two weeks ago.  Funeral on Monday last, at 10 
a.m.; interment at St. Mary’s Church burial ground.
