Samuel McClenaghan`s death occurred at 8p.m. on Tuesday, march 22, 1910. He 
resided in Coleraine township,Lancaster county. The deceased was 76 years old, 
and had been in broken health for many months. Death followed an attack of 
Bright's disease. He was a son of Cochran and Catharine (Lynd)McClenaghan and 
was born at Pine Grove, Lower Oxford side, Chester County. When a young man he 
accompanied the Scott's of Little Britian to the gold fields of California and 
Washington. Remaining about a year. Mr. McClenaghan returned home and engaged 
in farming. In his prime he possessed great strength and endurance. He 
attended to his own affairs was a good neighbor and citizen. Three sisters 
survive; Mrs. Ann Jane Millenr of New Freedom, Pa.,; Mrs.Mrs, Rachel Fox, 
Castle Fin, Pa.,; and Miss Sallie McClenaghan at home. The funeral takes place 
on Saturday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. Service at the house and interment in 
Union cemetery.
