Daily Local News, February 23, 1902 

The funeral of Sallie J., wife of Heber McCord, Elverson, took place to-day.  
Mrs. McCord had been bedfast for about two months.  Two sons, Sidney, of 
Washington, and Prof. Ira D. McCord, Principal of Soldiers’ Orphan School at 
Chester Springs, survive her.
