The second on the list was Patrick F. McElhatton, who died on the 11th inst., and was buried on the 14th in St. Mary’s cemetery, north side, his age 71 years. These passers over at one time lived in this town almost within a stone’s throw of each other Mr. Brunner was a carpenter, and worked for many years for the Phoenix Iron Company, while Patrick McElhatton, in his younger days, was a mill hand; during later years he followed a mercantile business at the old homestead, Hall and Jackson Streets. When I first knew the McElhatton family, the father and mother were living at the above mentioned corner, and so were John and Daniel and James and Patrick and Hugh, and daughters Bella and Margaret. Of all these but two survive, and in addition the wife of the lately deceased son.
