She had been suffering dropsy for about a year. On Memorial Day, 1903, her husband died suddenly at the Swan Hotel, Downingtown, and since that time Mrs. Miles had been an invalid. She was well known in the community and highly esteemed. She belonged to St. Paul’s Reformed Church, Uwchlan. These children survive her: Frank, of West Pikeland; Warren who is at home; John D., of Mortonville; William P. of Spring City, and Mrs. George Fuller of Glen Moore. Daily Local News June 22, 1904 MILES- In Uwchlan township, on June 22, 1904, Elizabeth, widow of the late Evan Miles, in her 73d year Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral without further notice from her late residence in Uwchlan township, on Saturday, June 2. Meet at the house at 10:3a.m. Services in St. Paul’s Reformed Church at 11:30. Interment in adjoining cemetery. Carriages will meet morning train at Lionville station, Pickering Valley R.R. Daily Local News April 25, 1901 Col. John Wainwright, of Wilmington, has secured a pension for Evan Miles, Co.
