He was 83. Born in East Nantmeal Township a son of the late George F and Jennie Mosteller Miller, he came to West Chester in 1916 and worked at the Mansion House Garage. Later he operated the Turk's Head Accessory Shop. In 1938 he went to work at the West Chester Automotive Co and stayed there until his retirement in 1967. Mr Miller was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church, West Chester, and served as its treasurer for 40 years. Surviving are his wife Helen James Miller; a daughter Louise, wife of Frank J Huber Sr of West Chester; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and a sister, Mary wife of the late Frank Hughes of Audubon. Miller – On Saturday August 21 1971, Howard (Pop), husband of Helen James Miller in his 84th year. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service from the Calvary Lutheran Church. Rosedale Avenue and New Street, West Chester, Pa on Tuesday, August 24 at 11 a.m. Interment Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery. Daily Local West Chester Pennsylvania August 27 1971 HOWARD MILLER The funeral of Howard Miller husband of Helen J Miller of 25 E Barnard St, West Chester was held from the Calvary Lutheran Church West Chester, at 11 a m yesterday. The Rev Elwood W Reitz pastor of the service was in charge of the service. The Rev Lt. Col. John H K Miller of Dover Del, the first pastor of the church assisted. Interment in the Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery. Bearers were Michael R Miller, James S Miller, Jeffery D Miller, Steven H Huber, Frank J Huber Jr, Jerome B Gray III, Allen I Imler and Charles M Loughin.
