Miller, fifty-four, of Altoona, died at the home of his brother, William Miller, Coatesville, at 5 o'clock, Sunday morning of complications, after an illness of three years. He was a memberof the F. and A.M. and the Railroad Relief Association. He is survived by his wife, who was Ada Overly, and the following children: Horace S., John E., Mrs. Lloyd Gardner, Samuel D.,Jr. and W. Russell, all of Altoona. His father, John S. Miller, of Coatesville, and the following brothers and sisters also survive: William, Harry, and Chester, Mrs. Lizzie Marshall, Mrs. Ada Davis, Harry Woodward and Cora Miller, all of Coatesville, and Willis, of Altoona. Private funeral services were held at the home of his brother, William, at 30 Chester avenue, Coatesville, on Wednesday morning. Further services were held at 10 o'clock in Cains Baptist Church. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery. The services at the grave were in charge of Howell Lodge, F. and A.M. of HOneybrook, Howard P. Siglin, Worshipful Master."
