Coatesville Record, March 19, 1963
James H. Mosbey, 89, husband of Mrs. Bessie Purnell Mosbey, died at his late 
residence, Zion Hill, Atglen, Monday, following a lengthy illness. Born on 
Zion Hill, where he spent all of his life, he was a son of the late James H. 
and Wilhelmina White Mosbey.  He was formerly employed at the Christiana 
Machine Foundry.  Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Miss 
Florence Mosbey and Miss Marie Mosbey, at home and Mrs. Lydia Barton, Atglen; 
a son, James H. Jr., of Parkebsurg (sic) also five granddaughters and one 
grandson.  Funeral services will be held from the Church of Christ, Ercildoun, 
Friday, at 1 p.m. with interment in the adjoining cemetery.  Friends may call 
at the Leon K. and Sarah B. Prout Funeral Home, 725 Merchant St., Thursday 
evening from 7 until 9 o’clock.
