Abraham Mosteller, husband of Anna Mae Frame Mosteller, in his 76th year. Relatives and friends of the family, West Chester Lodge, No 322, F. & A. M., and all other organizations of which he was a member, are invited to attend the funeral service at the Harold A. Famous Home, 101 S. Church Street, West Chester, Pa., on Friday, April 20th, at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening. Abraham Mosteller, for twenty years an efficient member of West Chester's police force, passed away suddenly at his home, 31 Dean Street, at 1 o'clock yesterday. He had been in poor health since his retirement four years ago, but the end came suddenly, shocking his family and friends. He was in his 76th year. Mr. Mosteller was born at Chester Springs on October 13th, 1869, a son of the late Abraham and Hannah Shimmer Mosteller. During his early life he was a farmer. He came to West Chester thirty-two years ago, when he was in the employ of the late George J. Palmer, serving as foreman when the sewer system was installed in West Chester. He was later in the employ of the Baltimore Life Insurance Co., previous to his appointment to the police force. He was a member of thee Methodist Church of West Chester; West Chester Lodge, No. 322, F. M. & A. M., the Tail Cedars of Lebanon, the Improved Order of Red Men at Birchrunvuille, Washington Castle, Knights of the Golden Eagle, of Phoenixville; the P O S of A, at Chester Springs; the Knights of Malta, of West Chester, and the Goodwill and Fame Fire Companies. Mr. Mosteller was an alumnus of the Millersville State Normal School. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna May Frame, and by three children: Ada, wife of W. Everett Evans, Collingdale; Paul Shimer Mosteller, of Cortland, N. Y., and Mabel V., wife of the late Willard T. Bullock, of Ridley Park. There are four grandchildren, Willard T., 3rd, James , Jack and Mary Ann Bullock, of Ridley Park. Coatesville Record April 27, 1945 The late Abraham Mosteller, veteran member of the West Chester police force, who died suddenly on April 17, left an estate estimated in value at $11,000. His will was admitted for probate at the Register of Wills office in West Chester, yesterday. Under terms of the will Mosteller directed that his entire estate, compsoed of personal property, go to his wife Anna Mae Mosteller, with provisions for their two children at her death.
