MOSTELLER, 60, a rural mail carrier for 35 years, died in his home at Chester Springs yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock, after suffering ill health for several months and being seriously ill the past five weeks. He had been a patient in Phoenixville Hospital four weeks, having been discharged May 14. Death was ascribed to a heart aliment. He was born in West Vincent Township, near Birchrunville, son of Mrs. Lizzie L. (Friday) Mosteller and the late William K. Mosteller, and lived in that area all his life. He served his route as mail carrier out of Chester Springs post office until five weeks ago. He was a director of the National Building and Loan Association, Phoenixville, and was a member of the Del-Chester Rural Letter Carriers Association. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Katie M. (Simmers) Mosteller; three children, Russell C., West Chester; Oliver W. and Katherine M., at home, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in a funeral home at 331 New Street, Spring City, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial in St. Matthews Reformed Cemetery. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania May 24, 1949 CHESTER MOSTELLER Chester Mosteller, of Chester Springs, a rural mail carrier for the past 35 years, died at 8:30 Monday morning at his late residence. He was 60. Mr. Mosteller had been in ill health for the past several months and was taken seriously ill five weeks ago. He was discharged from Phoenixville Hospital on May 14 where he had been a patient for four weeks. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. Born in West Vincent township, near Birchrunville, son of Lizzie L. (Friday) Mosteller and the late William K. Mosteller, he lived in that area all of his life. He continued his route as a mail carrier for the Chester Springs post office up until five weeks ago.
