MOSTELLER At a few minutes before six o'clock this morning, Clinton K. Mosteller passed away, at his home, corner of Union and New Streets. He had been in ill health for a year, and confined to his bed for four weeks. He was 67 years of age, his birthday anniversary occurring yesterday. He was born in West Vincent Township, a son of John and Mary Brownback Mosteller, and conducted a farm in that township until coming to West Chester, twenty-three years ago. Since removing to this place, he held a position of trust in the First National Bank, having charge of the safety-deposit vaults. In politics, he was a Democrat, taking much interest in the affairs of the party. Some thirty years ago, he served a term as County Auditor. He was active in the Fame Fire Company and Treasurer of the West Chester Assembly Association. Mr. Mosteller was a member of St. Matthew's Reformed Church, in West Vincent Township, and was a member of the Building Committee, which erected the present edifice, being the last of this committee to survive. He married Lizzie E. Lumis, who survives him, with two daughters Iva M., and Mary, wife of William J. Wetherall, of this place. Brothers surviving are Dr. William H. Mosteller, of Phoenixville and James B. Mosteller, of West Chester. He was courteous and affable in his relations with his associates, a pleasing conversationalist, and will be much missed by many friends. Mosteller – In West Chester, on July 20, 1920, Clinton K. Mosteller, aged 67. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from his late residence, 303 West Union Street, on Friday, July 23, 1920. Services at the house at 1 o'clock. Further services at St. Matthew's Reformed Church. Friends may call at his late home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Interment at St. Matthew's Cemetery. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania July 23, 1920 At his late home, on West Union Street, today, services ere conducted over the remains of Clinton K. Mosteller, by Rev. Jay Dickerson, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Last evening many friends called to pay their final respects, including eighty or more members of the Fame Fire Company, of which the deceased had long been a Trustee. Floral offerings were numerous and handsome, including tribute from the Fire Company and the First National Bank. Interment is being made this afternoon at St. Matthew's Reformed Cemetery, West Vincent. The pall bearers being six nephews, William H. Mosteller, Jr., Phoenixville; J. Dewees Mosteller, Clinton R. Mosteller, George J. Moses, Dr. Thomas W. Lumis, West Chester, and Oscar M. Lumis, Byers.
