The deceased had always been engaged in the agricultural business, but for the past ten years had been blind and unable to do anything. The deceased was wedded to Mary Brownback 57 years ago, the widow still surviving in fairly good health. The deceased is also survived by three children, namely: Clinton K., of West Chester, Dr. William H., Phoenixville, and James B., who resides on the home farm. He was one of eleven brothers and sisters, four of whom are still living. A remarkable circumstance connected with the death of Mr. Mosteller is that he was the first to go out of the immediate family circle of grandparents, children and grandchildren. The deceased was a member of St. Matthew's Reformed Church, West Vincent. He was an ardent Democrat for years, and took much interest in party affairs. He was for several years a School Director and served with the ability and credit. Deceased leaves a large circle of friends and relatives who mourn the loss of a useful citizen. Daily Local West Chester, Pennsylvania April 5, 1907 FUNERALS The funeral of John Mosteller, of East Vincent, was very largely attended. He was a man who had lived in that vicinity all his life, 83 years. He was well known to a generation, which is fast passing away. A most noticeable feature at the service was that many friends, who had gathered to pay their last tribute, were far past the meridian of life. One lady was there over ninety years, a brother past 85 years, and many others, whose days will soon run upon borrowed time.
