Piersol, 65 years old, a retired farmer in Concord township, committed suicide by hanging himself in a barn on the farm of his son-in-law, Bartram Harvey, in Concord today. Grief over the recent sale of his farm caused a mental derangement. He leaves a widow, a daughter, Mrs. Harvey and a son, Lawrence, who is widely known as a vocalist. Daily Local News January 6, 1920 PIERSOL- Suddenly on January 4, 1920, Charles T. Piersol, husband of Laura L. Piersol, aged 64 years. Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, Thursday, January 8, 1920, at 12 o’clock from the residence of his son- in-law, Bartram R. Harvey, Concordville, Delaware County. Services at Newtown Baptist Church, at 2 o’clock P.M. Conveyances will meet trolleys arriving at Newtown Square at 1:30 P.M. from sixty-ninth street terminal and West Chester. Interment at Newtown Baptist Church Burying Ground.
