John Mackey Pitt, one of the best known farmers of the lower end of the county, 
died at his home near New London last week, aged 75 years.  He was s successful 
farmer and a good business man, and he prospered.  He was fond of good horses, 
and usually drove fine teams.  One brother, David M. Pitt...
