Preftakes A cablegram received here this morning reported the death of Theodore Nicholas Preftakes at Neate, Greece. Mr. Preftakes had been in poor health for the past year and sailed on March 2, 1927, for his boyhood home in hope of regaining his health. He was a prominent businessman of West Chester for the past twenty-five years, having started in business on North Church Street, where the present Woolworth building sands. Some years ago her (sic) purchased the property of Thomas C. Hogue, on the southeast corner of High and Gay Street, where he conducted a confectionery and ice cream parlor. He married Anna L. Jackson, a daughter of the late George C. Jackson. They had one son, Nicholas Theodore, Jr., a bright little fellow, whose death occurred about six years ago. Mr. Preftakes will be remembered as an efficient businessman, a kind neighbor and was known for his sagacity, kindness and philanthropic nature.
