Ruth Mrs. Mary A. Prizer Ruth, widow of the late Samuel N. Ruth, died in the Phoenixville Hospital, aged 84 years 4 months and 11 days. The deceased had been a great sufferer for a number of years and has been practically an invalid for a year. Her son, who is the only survivor of the family, had been taking care of his invalid mother until about nine weeks ago, when it was deemed advisable to take her to the hospital. Dropsey set in and death was due to a complication of diseases and old age. Mrs. Ruth was born at the Prizer Homestead at Lawrenceville, now Parkersford, on July 12, 1828, and when quite a young girl came to Phoenixville. Mrs. Ruth was a member of the Baptist Church and was quite an active worker in the church when younger. Her husband, Samuel N. Ruth, died 35 years ago.
