GEORGE SAVAGE - 1887:
Obituary in local Newspaper of  10/1/1887:
 DIED AGED OVER  90 YEARS:
Says the Pottstown Ledger on Friday:  George SAVAGE  died a few days ago at the 
residence of his son, Zenas M.. SAVAGE, at Cedar Falls, Iowa, at the great age 
of  90 years, 5 months and 23 days.  He formerly lived in East Coventry, Chester 
county, was well known in this vicinity, but with his wife, (she died four years 
ago) went West about five years since. Deceased was a brother of the venerable 
Nathaniel SAVAGE , of Pottstown, who resides with his son-in-law Nathan HOFFMAN, 
in this borough, also a brother of Mrs. John HIPPLE, of Phoenixville, and of 
Mrs. Eliza HAWK, of Falls of Schuylkill.  His brothers and sisters, nine or ten 
in number, were nearly all remarkable for longevity, one sister having died at  
92 years, another at about 89.  Nathaniel, now living, is in his  81st year.  
George SAVAGE died after an illness of about four weeks,.  He leaves no children 
excepting his son, Zenas, at Cedar Falls, Iowa.
