He had been ill ten days or two weeks. Mr. Savage had long been a resident of that neighborhood, and was esteemed as a most worthy citizen. His funeral will take place on Tuesday, the 28th, at 10 o'clock, A.M. Interment at the East Coventry Meeting House. ZENAS SAVAGE (son of Zenas and Catharine SAVAGE) - 1877 Funeral notice of 8/30/1877 in local newspaper: The funeral of Zenas Savage, from the residence of his son, Davis Savage, Esq., East Coventry township, on Tuesday, was more largely attended of any that has ever been known in that section of the county. (NOTE: my gr3grandfather) Additional Comments: Zenas Savage is my gr3grandfather. His wife was Rebecca MARCH born 8/16/1800 died 9/11/1879. Both are buried in what is now called Oak Grove Cemetery, in Parkerford, Chester Co PA, with other SAVAGEs, E. Coventry Meeting house.
