Scott, Jr Thomas J. Scott, Jr, of 18 Sunset Dr, Paoli, died Monday (April 2, 1973) at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was 53.Husband of Dorothy Carpenter Scott, he retired as a gunnery sergeant in the Marine Corps in 1962 and had worked as a security guard at West Chester State College after that. During World War II he served with the Marines in the Pacific Theaters and was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor. He also was in the Korean War. IN addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Beulah Helm Scott of Pittston; two children, Janet, wife of Lawrence DeSimone of Eagle and John P. Scott of Radnor; two grandchildren; and a brother, Robert, of West Pittston. Funeral services and interment will be private.
